First, I want to thank you for porting the theme over to blogger. I enjoyed seeing this in my mint statistics today and honestly, I am obliged that you took the time to port it and fix a few of the errors currently in the documents associated with it. Second, thank you very much for leaving my initial link in tact. I am very grateful. So many people rip my designs, themes and plugins and neglect to credit me for the original code and design.

Thank you sincerely, great individual! Kudos!

Jack,
Viewed in Internet explorer and the sidebar screwed up. Instead on the right it’s at the bottom. Same goes for the search box, It covers the Search Text hence blocking it. As For Firefox everything is perfect.

wounderfull template …

One question:

On the old blogger version it was possible tu use the commander: >> Read more …>> so that just a some lines of the article were visible on the blog.

Now with the BETA verion of blogger it’s seem impossible to do this. It’s true or not.

If we want to do like u a: ยป Come To Read More… who is possible on the BETA version of blogger ?

Thanks

actually, you can do “read more” hack with any template.
it has nothing to do with the template.
once you have been able to install read more hack on blogger, then no matter on what version it is, you should be able to have it. thanks

Yes, at least I think I have.
By the way, I am using your pink template (your link is in the left-sidebar)…

But this salmon template looks a bit messy in the blogspot panel. The horizontal menu below the header is difficult to access and the RSS feed widget intrudes on the Adsense widget.

http://plastic-surgeries.blogspot.com/ is the test-blog I am using.

Jack, I got it going on another test template
http://schoolloanz.blogspot.com/

One of my main problems was accessing the widgets because they were all jumbled and some where hidden. I figured out a way which may have been obvious but it wasn’t to me unti a few minutes ago. If you think others may or have had that problem, leave a comment here and I’ll email you what I did.

Thanks for the template, now I gotta figure out how to increase width, change main colours etc, lol.

Jack,

Great template. But, seems to have some problem.

(1) I am unable to see my description in the header just below the blog title.
(2) The header font size seems to look different in IE and Firefox.
(3) The first row of the Adsense ad in the sidebar is hidden by the RSS button.

While it looks fine with Firefox, IE seems to be not happy with many elements. Thanks.

XML error message: Element type “input” must be followed by either attribute specifications, “>” or “/>”.”.. what should I do? pls help.. thanks

Jane,

Editing the file in Blogspot is sorta messy, but I found a work-around that seems to work. When logged into your account at Blogspot and at your Dashboard, select “Manage -> Layout”. Here, it will bring up the Page Elements page with the template in graphical form. You can edit page elements and widgets here. Again, it’s a little messy. For instance, the “Main Menu” that features the tabs is hidden behind the “Blog Posts” element. If you look closely you can see a portion of the “Main Menu” element in far left. Click and drag this above the “Blog Posts” element, then click on “Edit.” Here, you can edit what tabs you want to appear in your template. Once you’re happy with what you have, select “Save Changes.” Back at your Page Elements click on the “Clear Edits” button at the top and it will return the “Main Menu” element back to where it was before (behind the “Blog Posts” element).

I’m not sure why the Blogspot layout manager doesn’t align things correctly, but this will work!

To get the Search Menu to work, scroll to the right to show the “Search Menu” element. Click on “Edit” and insert the following code:

Click on “Save Changes” and this should add the search function to the template.

As far as pasting the code and the errors, if you’re still getting them, you may want to re-upload the XML file that Jack provided, then perform the steps above.

Good luck!
- Matt

I apologize, but I see the code for the search widget didn’t post - I didn’t think it would, but I tried.

Shoot me an e-mail, and I can send you the appropriate code.

Hi!

This template is awesome. I tried it and it worked fine.

It would be great if you do a dark theme (black and grey) instead of blue and salmon.

Hi Jack.
Firstly thanks for providing this template for blogger, it really does look very good.
However, have spent two days trying to install it. I have followed all the instructions.
Set up the 8 widgets with the html as laid out in the document. I have also uploaded all the images and the .css files for the different broswers and changed all references from your googlepages site to mine.
I am using betablogger, which i assume is the correct one to use, as i tried using my standard account and the result was even worse. Basically the horizontal HTML1 and HTML2 menus have dissapeared entirely, they do not appear either in the page or in the page editing, HTML3 the search box appears to the left of the page, and not to the right, the google ads box is pushed up north somewhere and it looks nothing like what it should. I have tried it so many times i really have no idea what may be going wrong. Would it be possible for you to help with installation thanks. I am trying to use the template at http://diabetesrecipes4kids.blogspot.com/
Thanks very much for your time.
ps any possibility of this template being made into three columns?
Cheers
