Magazine Style Template - Red is a wide 3 columns template with so many widgets modifiable for both blogger / blogspot and wordpress. please go here to see the demo: blogger demo | wordpress demo.

This template is originally created by Milo from petty-passion.com for wordpress.org. it has 3 columns, red and white background.
What makes this template different is, i’ll tell you, it’s all about widget. Yes, widget is anywhere. on the top horizontal menu, on the title, on the 3 first columns. on the content, on the other sidebar, even on the bottom of post, on the bottom on top of the footer, and it’s even on the footer it self.
Yes, it is a pretty complex structure of blogger template. So here it is.

All the widget most of them are HTML/Javascript widget. so basically, you can feel them with anything you want.
but there are two important things about the widgets, they are the top horizontal menu and the footer menu.
Just make sure your content has the same format as this format below;

First of all, thank you SO MUCH for converting the theme!
Anyway, I just want to understand the template better.
What are these javascript files for?

Lastly, on the demo site for Blogger, I noticed that there is a part of the template that seems to not be “continuous” (part of the screenshot image is attached).

Oh that’s my mistake. I use to separate the css file on the different file, but from now, i’ll include the style inside the template it self.
now i have remove the link line.
What is “Markup free clearing” for?
that is just a style to create a better clearing, you can read it here. many designer have fallen on doing a clearing on their design works. so thanks to this method, it works on most browsers. and yes, it works on ie.
Lastly, on the demo site for Blogger, I noticed that there is a part of the template seems to not be “continuous” (part of the screenshot image is attached).
Oh that is because the image wasn’t fully loaded i guess. these are the image lists used by this template, you can move it somewhere on the other image hosting to have a better / faster load. currently, i host it on my googlepages account, and because many people use my template which mean use the same my googlepages account bandwith, it might slowing down the load.
so here is the list;

host that files on your own image hosting, then replace all that line on your stylesheet, inside the template with your new images url.
Why is the 4rd column not one straight widget area? I mean, the search box is on the white space.
That’s probably because the widget content is just too long, try to make it shorten. Milo uses separated structure on his original wordpress theme, so i just convert all that as same as possible.

Hi, I think this template will be perfect for my blog, but when I try to upload it the message is:

Hi, Sorry Jack..I just want to spread info that I have created a temlplate that full costomize without javascript. I my self think that my hack to blogspot template will be develop to make the really magazine style. Please make your review to it..this is the link .
For the moment I’m still looking for how to make the feed will contain a bit of posting body in it (I mean without javascript, because this is not good for search engine, is it?). By that the author will not make a summary piece of word manually in his/her page element as like as in magazine-style-template-red or others..inversely each column as page element in magazine style will update automatically..
Please jack, visit and give some of your idea how to show that feed..

This is such a great template. But could you indicate how to get rid of ALL the images - it would work so well as a minimalist white template.

I think the Magazine Template is wonderful. It has a sense of presence and authority. Bravo.
My husband has modified it for my theme and I have made two test posts.
He has encountered minor difficulties.
One is the date is missing from the posts. Is there a way to either add the date? or is there code to be added you can provide?
Second is the Post Title. My husband has changed font color and size for the Sidebar Titles - but separately cannot figure out how to change the Post Title font size and color. Jack, is there a simple way to do this?
Third and last are the two small boxes at the end of the Post Column. If I decide to use them, where can I change their Width? and change the box line to White?
