Forget about all those tips, tricks, whatever to increase your pagerank. You’ll think it’s all crap now after you read this post, well at least for my self. Just checking comments from our reader who has pagerank 5 on his free blogspot blog. And what he did to get that pagerank?
NOTHING!
Yeah, nothing. It’s weird, but it’s true. The man is Sameer from sameerbandal.blogspot.com. On his last post which is published on may 7, a week ago, he said that he really did nothing and he got a pagerank of 5. hm…
I have even checked on wholinkstome.com and google.com, but there is only about 3 blogs link to sameer blog. How could Sameer got the pagerank?
I don’t understand how it got a page rank as high as that. I don’t update my blog so often. Neither I have back links from great sites. My traffic also doesn’t go beyond 20 even on a lucky day…But I am not complaining! Anyways.. sleeping now…
Weird and sounds out of logic for all of SEO expert out there, but what can I say? Sameer is right, I think all we need to do now is.. sleep.
note: Somehow on some pagerank checker, Sameer’s pagerank is 0, I don’t have a Google Toolbar on my Firefox, so I don’t have any idea about what is the pagerank but. But if you guys have a Google Toolbar installed on your browser, could you check it and tell us what’s the pagerank guys? thanks

No jacky these blunders are known to happen. many pages get fake pageranks and this is an known issue. And if google has actually given such a page rank, it would be deprecated the next time. Actually I have seen some sites while googling that have proper links on then that say. Click this link to get a page rank of 6, 7, 8, 9 an even 10. So that one ways is some kind of manipulation.
well, let’s say it’s just a fake pagerank, a mistake on Google system, and will be fixed on the next update, at least if i was Sameer, I can sell the blog for some good cash now

of course. try to offer your blog on sitepoint (you have to pay to get listed there) or on digitalpoint (free, but you have to be a member for some periods first)
SEO for Firefox Plugin is showing a PR of 5. There are also 26,400 Yahoo inbound links - check the first page of those and they are all from PR 4 to PR 7 sites.
Makes more sense now….although if Sameer has not done the link building who has?
with 24600 inbound links from PR 4 to PR7 sites, its no wonder how he got the PR 5. A PR 7 site linking to you is enough to give you a PR 5. so that explains.
but what site? i can’t see any pr 7 site linking to his blog?

Google never told that you need backlink to get a high PR

It always looks like a roller coaster ride on Google. I went from PR0 to PR2 to PR4 to PR2 and now back to PR0. I am not sure how Google works out its PR clearly. I believe the best way to get better PR is to forget about PageRank and just concentrate on what you are doing. That is Blogging. Thanks.

My new blog with 7 post I got PR3. I’m so surprised why this blog got PR3 because still new and I didn’t update it. And my 4 months old blog got PR3 too and this blog I update it daily. Well, maybe jack is forget all those tips, tricks.

Sameer’s PR still is 5! I thought it was fake, and had it been, google would have gotten him to 0 by now!
