It’s started some months ago when a friend of mine, a well known blogger which used to write 1 or 2 posts a day managed to increase his posting frequency on his blog to 4 - 5 posts a day.
The changing was easy to notice since suddenly I felt like i got attacked by spammers on my feed readers. And I guest, that time i wasn’t the only one who felt that. Some of his readers wrote that they dislike it. The comments then decreased. He used to get about at least 10 - 20 comments per post before. But after that “tragedy”, there were many “0 Comments” then on his blog.
It’s clear that have too many new articles in one day can hurt your blog interaction with the readers. You might get your feed readers count decreased, and also might lose your comments count.
But there is also a good thing as the side effect. By having more new articles, that means Google will have more pages to index. Means there is a bigger chance Google will send more visitors to our blog. And.. if you have good quality articles, there is a big chance that those visitors coming from search engine will subscribe to your feed and become loyal returning visitors.
I know you might think it as a dilemma, but now we can see that there are two ways to increase our readership
1. Posting Slower
- Your regular visitors will like it, and stay subscribe
- You will get comments as usual
- Less pages get indexed by Search Engine which means less chance to get new visitors
2. Posting Faster
- Probably will hurt your regular readers, and a chance they will unsubscribe
- Less comments ( At least you will have more “0 Comments”)
- More pages get indexed by Search Engine, More chance to get new readers
Now do you want to become faster or slower? There are differences between the two methods. On the next post I will give you some examples of successful blogs which use faster and slower method.

I think it really depends.. When you have a very pwerful niche type of blogs then chances are you are gonna post a lot. But as you’ve said its still better to post 1to 2 a day… It brings quality over quantity
Hi, i like the way you have describe the things in the blog by which i get the inspiration to do more creative work, thanks a lot.
I agree with Melvin, it really depends on various factors. If you have a popular blog it doesn’t need long time to get comments on your blog. But IMO i prefer to post frequently. But again, the frequency it self must be different for each people. In my blog i’m trying to post 1 article/day, but for some blogger they might post 3-4 articles /day..
Is there a way to only subscribe to your posts that are themes? Your current posts are really getting “scattered”.
i think it depends on when u have something to say.posting 2-3
articles per day or posting only a week doesn’t matter.posting good quality content is all about.
Jack…i have added u on my blogroll but ur favicon is not showing. also ur new tittle “A master of blogger” is not showing rather than showing old tittle…”make money online with jackbook.com”
Well i think if its a team website then it is good to post more than 1 article a day but if its not then its not so appropriate..
yeah I think it’s really very important to update or post an article at least one per day. And to those who have monetized their blogs or webs, it is more important for them to update their pages on a regular basis.
I post about three times a week…but i just disable my comments
if you have a news website, then you need to post up to date, so that means like 50 posts.
I just post at least once a week. But, if i got idea i’ll post more. but i never post few a day
I don’t want too post too much because, exactly as you put it, I feel “attacked” by people who do.
Be or not to be…It’s really dilemma. I think that 1-4 posts is a normal numbers posts per day.
For me even making 1 post a day is hard. I used to rarely make any posts in myblog.
Making 1-2 posts is ok i guess. But I never want to receive 10 email from a blog saying that 10 new posts have been made.
Jack,
I tried a thousand times downloading your template (FTW CLEAN template for Blogger) but I can’t even see the codes since they w=are in XML format.
Could you please help me…
I still prefer the slowing method coz I can’t post a lot of posts a day
They say when you frequently post on your blog, Google will often crawl it. This means, the more traffic you will get. This is based on my experience too.
Hello
Bye
Now I try to make 1 post a day and i think it’s enough.
When I try to post more in my blog, I see significant increase of visitor, and I like it.
I think i don’t have much subscriber, so posting faster is really great things to do
If the content is good enough, then I personally don’t mind how many posts get fed my way. However, if more posts means that less time has been spent on them, then slow down.
Excellent Post
thanx for sharing the same..
Will keep on reading the post
Stumbled your post .. cheers!
thats right! sometimes you need to be slower to reach special effect
i still believe that content quality is the 1st, quantity 2nd
