I got some or I can even say many people questioning me about why I still put the “nofollow” tag on the comment.
No much talk about it. I just wonder, why should I remove it? What in my mind right now about removing nofollow tag is that it is one of the stupidest things that people do with their blog.
Why should you remove the nofollow tag? For some comments? So your blog looks crowded? If you remove it because you want to have many comments under your posts, then let me give you my advice. Deactivate your Askimet! Deactivate your Spam Karma! Deactivate any spam protector from your blog, and you’ll got many comments.
Trust me, even this top commentators alone has been giving me so many spam comments every day. Now if only you gave me at least one good reason why I should remove the nofollow tag, I may reconsider my decision on it. thanks
imo, you have all the reasons to retain the tag.
there are alot of people trying to spam their link and
are over-doing it.
some commenter are not really readers.
they just hope that people will notice the link they spammed
and click on them.
No Follow tag is useless??
I agree with you. When you were displaying top commentator list on individual posts, I too was excited to leave a many comments as I could. But I wouldn’t spam. I just tried to comment as much as I could, but then, that can also be called spam. Sorry If I irritated you man.

because of spam you have to make no follow…..but if yes readers are good there is no need to do no follow…..good site i downloaded 2 templates from here….i also have my own design templates let me know how i can upload here…

If you notice a lot of people posting that reads like spam, advertisement or just generally a few words, then its good to have the nofollow tag, to cut down on this type of commenting.

I’ve recently add back the ‘no follow’ tag on one of my blog due to the amount of spam a.k.a. Junk comment. This is a great way to get some link love by the top commentators plugin and show appreciation to real reader of this blog.
We need the nofollow tag to overcome the comment spammers I think.
I removed the No follow tag in my blog but thinking of activating it again. Do you think it could be the reason why I lose my rank? Because it’s one of the things I did that’s why I lose my rank ;(
Nofollow in comments is a good idea. Comments is only comments - not a place for links (i mean backlinks).
So, if every one knows that all links in comments are with nofollow - only comments on post will appear, not spam.
Don’t remove the nofollow tag.
I think that nofollow for comments is right. It reduces spam.
Leave your comment here. You can play jokes, but please dont spam! All comment intended to gain a backlink will be deleted and marked as spam. I have a NOFOLLOW tag anyway, so there is no backlink value. Thanks
i would never remove nofollow in my blog … i totally agree to your point of view! If you delete the nofollow tag you could just mark you blog as spammers blog
